It is not complicated or difficult to reset any version of iPhone, iPad or iPod that connects with the computer. However, the process of reset will delete all the data and passwords in your phone.

The most obvious reason for resetting is because your iPhone has been disabled due to too many incorrect pass code attempts.

Before you begin; it is important to note that an iDevice (iPad/iPod/iPhone) should not have iCloud activated. This is as security measure to lock down stolen iDevices. If you do reset it with iCloud enabled; you will not be able to login.

Things Required:

c) The device you like to reset

1. We will start the procedure just by turning the device off. To do that; hold the power button (which is the sleep/wake button) on the top and wait for the “slide to power off” appears; when it does; slide it to power the device off.

5. You will be prompted again to confirm the restore. Click on “Restore and Update” option. Once the restart starts; it will then take a few minutes for the restore to  finish. After restore has finished; you will see an apple logo on your iDevice with a white slider; let this continue. After it finishes; iPhone/iDevice will start-up and you can set it up again from scratch.
