Error code 505 on Android appears when a user attempts to install an app and the installation fails. The failure is due to an application having issues with the permissions system. Whilst this error code can’t be fixed directly, newer versions of Android released after the error started to appear in November 2014 are able to resolve the issue. Follow the steps below to update your device and remove the 505 error code.

How to fix the 505 Error Code on Android

This guide will show you how to resolve the 505 error code. If you cannot update your Android device by using method 1, please refer to method 2.
