A lot of people think that just by having the SSD is enough in order to have their programs and everything to work better. This mindset leads them to believe that the user doesn’t need to upgrade their system, migrate from one drive to the other and, of course, try to use the SSD as a Secondary Drive.
Let’s just say that this is NOT how an SSD should be used at all. SSD Drives excel at lots of little random file reads/writes because it doesn’t have to wait for any platters to come to the right position, or for the heads to get to the right spot unlike HDD.

While it is possible to use an SSD as a storage drive and secondary disk. It’s often not recommended to do so because it doesn’t improve the performance of the computer. Mostly because the programs have to run through the HDD drive itself and thus, require longer times to load.
This is why a lot of users use the SSD as the boot drive, and install their operating system to it, and then use a HDD for games and/or bulk storage. This makes the operating system actually run faster thanks to the structure of the SSDs themselves.
While there are definitely some benefits from installing games directly onto the SSD, users would do infinitely better by just prioritizing use of the SSD as a system drive over a storage drive at the outset. As the programs in general will definitely see a performance boost and will reduce boot times for the entire system rather than just reduce the loading times in a single program, which is a game.
With that said, there’s nothing stopping you from installing “Important” games onto the available space of your current SSD while keeping the “non-important” games on the HDD or whatever alternate drive the user has just migrated from.
