When you delete your text messages from your iPhone or any other smartphone you won’t be able to view it again, unless you have backed up your phone’s file on cloud or computer. But what if you haven’t cared much to back up your phone? Is it impossible to recover deleted text messages? Umm NO. There is one trick. Your smartphone is smarter than you think. When you delete your text message from an iPhone, it is actually removed from the main UI ( User Interface ) but is still in a database file named “sms.db.” In fact, this file contains every text message that has ever been sent or received on the phone, even if they have been deleted.
Rather than jailbreaking an iPhone like many tutorials suggest, you can recover their deleted text messages by connecting your iPhone to a computer that is running the Windows Operating System and synchronizing it with the computer via Apple iTunes. In this article I will teach you a method to recover those text messages using a software called Free iPhone Recovery.
Download Free iPhone Recovery from this link.
Install the software and run it.
Select Message and Message Attachments on the opening interface of the program and click Next .
Now connect your iPhone to your Desktop with USB.
Check Recover Data from iOS Device / iTunes Backup and click
The program will scan your deleted messages and other files.
When it finishes scanning you can see list of messages. Click on the message you want to recover and click recover
Now unplug your iPhone from your computer. Screen lock and unlock again. Go to messages. You can see the deleted message in the message list again.
